silent film of Noodle Making in Zanzibar, Tanzania

Interesting (but unfortunately and puzzlingly silent) video on noodle making on Zanzibar, Tanzania, off the east coast of Africa. I just love noodles, so seeing this process, especially on the island of Zanzibar makes me salivate!

Zanzibar spice tour, Jozani Forest & Colobus Monkeys

Here's a fun video of Zanzibar Island, off the coast of Tanzania in eastern Africa. It guides you through two of the more popular tourist attractions and activities, the Spice Tour and walking through Jozani Forest and the indigenous Red Colobus Monkey. Brings back wonderful memories!

African Impact in Tanzania - Zanzibar community projects

Here's a great video showing some of the wonderful positive impact young people (and those of all ages for that matter) can have when visiting Africa. This video focuses on the island of Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania, and the various programs in place for visitors to volunteer and help the local community. From helping with schools, education, construction and litter cleanup, this looks like a wonderful organization.
Zanzibar, Tanzania musical documentary

Here's a nice, soothing video showing some of the cultural aspects of visiting Zanzibar, the spice island off the east coast of Tanzania in eastern Africa. What's interesting is the focus on visiting and interacting with locals, rather than the standard tourist fare. Most of the emphasis is on the Stone Town area, and the smattering amount of voice over is in Dutch. Nevertheless, worthwhile watching...

Zanzibar dhow - history & construction of legendary boats

Here's a nice brief clip from National Geographic, showing a bit of history and construction of the famous dhow boats on Zanzibar Islands, off the east coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. The highlight is a current construction of the largest dhow ever built, all without nails!
